The Minimalist Launch

Posted by admin on December 29, 2011

A re-launch with a minimalist attitude.

We have been doing this for almost three years now, and we have had three major iterations of our own site. Initially it was a basic marketing site describing and detailing what we did. Then we went for a flashy 'see how cool we are' site which wasn't really us. Now we are moving into a minimalism era with our site.

Why?

Simple. We want to give the website visitor exactly what they need when they need it. On the first visit they need to know what we do, and why we do it, and how to contact us. The call to action is simple and deliberate. The pages are not showered with keywords and bot-bait. They are simple statements of fact.

We were actually in the middle of a new glitz and glam site, and loving the direction, but we felt it was lacking a soul. One morning Tim comes to the office with an idea in his head, and a few days later we have a nice little site we are happy with, proud of, and willing to bet the farm on, for now.

This medium is fluid. Websites are living organisms, or at least they should be. We don't just launch and forget it. We nurture is. We add, we remove, we spin, slant, and let it grow.

For me minimalism is not about less, it is about more of what is needed right now.

Okay, you want more? You want to see the bazillion sites we have built? Themes we designed? Mobile apps we have built for clients? Cool, contact us.
